Kits are cast aluminum alloy (not forged) with an 18-20% silicone content, which produces a light but strong piston. Piston skirts are Bisulphide-coated for faster break-in time and increased piston life. All pistons are heat-treated with a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle. Standard pistons and components are O.E.M. replacements. All high compression pistons are direct fit without modification to piston or engine required Most Vertex pistons are made for standard size cylinder only, B, C, kit sizes are 0.01mm variations in the piston size to increase or decrease the clearance within the cylinder on standard KTM SX144 & SX150 56mm bore size Kits include piston, ring, piston pin (wrist pin) and circlips Replacement rings are sold individually, We supply and fit including labour, piston and gaskets.
